National Beer Day (2020)

image

April 7th marks the day that, in 1933, the Cullen-Harrison Act went into effect, allowing Americans to buy, sell, and drink beer containing up to 3.2% alcohol by weight (or 4.05% by volume). While not the official end to U.S. prohibition, it did redefine an "intoxicating beverage" under the Volstead Act.

Known in the U.S. as National Beer Day, April 7th is a day to raise a toast to our favorite beverage, beer! And while you're enjoying that beer from wherever you are, be sure to unlock this year's badge! Check-in to any beer between April 4 - 7, 2020 and the "National Beer Day (2020)" badge is all yours.

Don't forget about our new global venue, "Untappd at Home"! Check-in to that beer you just got delivered or picked up curbside, see what your global Untappd friends are having at home, and share that you're doing your part to prioritize safety during this time of social distancing.
