Idle Hands Badge

Do you like beer and rock? Possibly with a side of bourbon? If so, we've got a great treat for you. Untappd is proud to announce our first specific bar based venue badge and promotion for our friends a Idle Hands Bar in NYC's East Village. With downstairs speakeasy feel and a constantly rotating list of delicious beers, Idle Hands won't disappoint. Once you've earned this new badge, you will also unlock a special surprise!

A little background from Idles Hands owner, The Reverend:

As a brand management and marketing consultant, I am always looking for new and exciting ways to connect to people. As a result, I have grown obsessed with social networking. When Untappd came on the scene I was extremely excited. It combines my FourSquare addiction with my passion for craft beer. I instantly joined and started utilizing the platform.

Owning a bourbon, beer and rock speakeasy in NYC's East Village, I recognized this as an awesome opportunity to not only connect with like minded people with similar interests but also as a method of marketing Idle Hands Bar. On top of that, it's helped to expand my knowledge base of craft beers, an essential when you own a bar that rotates 40-50 beers a day!

Becoming the first bar on Untappd to receive their own badge is a very exciting honor and as a badge collector, it's a nice little pat on the ego as well! HA HA! We love Untappd at Idle Hands and couldn't be more thrilled to be a part of their amazing community.

The badge will be unveiled at a special unlocking event at Idle Hand on Wednesday the 26th. If you happen to be in the NYC area, be sure to stop by and check it out. Our co-founder Greg Avola will be on hand to hang out and all Ommegang brews will be only $5.
