Untappd in Foursquare's "Connected Apps"

As many of you may have seen, our friends at Foursquare recently released an all new version of their app. This new version is not only beautiful, but shifts the focus more towards exploring what's around you and making connections. Part of this is achieved though a new feature called "Connected Apps". This new feature allows you to connect your Foursquare account with a number of third party applications to allow for a richer experience. Being brand new, this list is limited to a handful of of apps, Untappd included!

The first step is to connect your Untappd and Foursquare accounts together, which can be accomplished from within the Untappd app, Foursquare app, or each apps website. Once you've done this, check-in to a bar or restaurant from within Foursquare. You'll notice in your post check-in details a section for "Connected Apps". Tap on the Untappd area to see a list of popular beers from the venue you're at over the last 30 days.

Want to check-in to that beer without having to open another app? You can! Simply tap the beer you're having and you'll be taken to the check-in confirm screen and you can log your brew to your Untappd account! This functions just as if you were within Untappd itself, posting to your stream and sharing with your attached social accounts.
